Community Gardening @ Longacre
Today we will continue to scythe to give the meadow its main cut. This is to reduce fertility of the meadow, to reduce the growth of more dominant grass species, nettles and brambles to create the conditions for wildflowers to grow. We will continue scything the dip which has the most amount of brambles. Everyone is welcome to help, no prior experience needed.
Do wear suitable shoes. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. No need to book unless you have any special requirements or are part of a large group, in which case please email community.ttw@gmail.com at least 24 hours before the session. Please try to walk or cycle, and if you have to drive, please park a bit further away to avoid complaints from nearby residents.
