Community Gardening @ Longacre
Now we will start scything in earnest as we need to give the meadow its main cut. This is to reduce fertility of the meadow and spread wildflower seeds around: we will leave the grass in rows to dry until the following week, then roll to spread the seed. As the dip has a lot of brambles now because it hasn’t had a yearly cut, we’ll start there. Everyone is welcome to help, no prior experience needed.
Do wear suitable shoes. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. No need to book unless you have any special requirements or are part of a large group, in which case please email community.ttw@gmail.com at least 24 hours before the session. Please try to walk or cycle, and if you have to drive, please park a bit further away to avoid complaints from nearby residents.
