Wellington Community Food is raising funds to help develop its food production on the Community Farm and also its educational work. For this they have created a Crowdfunding page. The target is to raise £20,000. For the first six weeks of this appeal donations will be boosted by match funding from the Aviva Community Fund. Wellington Community Food is a not-for-profit Community Benefit Society based here in Wellington, west Somerset.

The Wellington Community Farm is a Community Supported Agriculture project which provides delicious fresh-from-the-land vegetables to our local area. They are dedicated to sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices that benefit humans, nature and healthy soils.

In addition the organisation has created a very successful programme of educational opportunities enabling groups of children from local schools to visit the project.

Their work this year has been made possible by our two wonderful contracted growers and a team of dedicated volunteers. The project is overseen by annually appointed Directors, currently five in number.
