New rainwater collection unit

Given recent weather, it may seem odd to say that it has been difficult to keep plants watered on some of the TTW sites. This was particularly the case last summer, during that long hot dry spell of weather. One such site that is particularly difficult is Linden Meadow. This is because of the steep slope and the only water being the in stream at the bottom. Thanks to Leary and Steve’s hard work, we now have a new rainwater collection unit made using two IBC tanks. One is cut in half to create a rainwater collector and the other tank is the storage for the rain collected. Pictures and more information on how it was built are on the water group page. Maybe some people would like to replicate it for their garden or allotment. It may be that we will also need to think about doing this on other sites in the future.
