iNaturalist statistics for 2025 have been published. They do this each year and you can see the new statistics and together with those for recent years on our Wildlife Group page. Last year the statistics showed that over 1.2 million people were using the app. This year that has risen to over 1.4 million. The number of observations last year was over 50 million and is now over 60 million.

If you have an iNaturalist account, you can also see your own personal year review by logging in. If you haven’t got an account with them, why not consider it? Not only will you be recording wildlife (animals, insects and flowers etc.), but if you upload a photograph of something you don’t know, it will be identified for you. You then can be ‘…part of something big! Every person who posts observations, adds identifications, and spreads the word about iNaturalist makes a difference’. When TTW undertakes a Bioblitz, such as the 24 hour one in Fox’s Field the results uploaded become part of the iNaturalist statistics.
