Heat! Camera! Action!
We’re delighted to announce a new podcast series, Heat! Camera! Action! Climbing out of the climate hole.
This is a series of fascinating interviews by Professor Jules Pretty about taking practical action and telling new stories to combat ‘climate pessimism’ and build a better, more sustainable future. Jules talks to writers and poets, artists and scientists, environmental and business leaders, farmers and landowners, local and national activists, festival directors, therapists, religious leaders. All are storytellers too. Especially relevant given two heat waves in 2026 so far.
The series opens with our very own Anita Roy in a lively conversation at Tone Dale House. She talks about personal and community transformation, and how TTW has put into action its motto: “hope with its sleeves rolled up”. She talks about moving to Wellington after years spent in India, about becoming a nature writer and the way that the land is being looked after in Fox’s Field, the Green Corridor, and beyond!
Her recommended actions are: be messy, leave ecological spaces, and maybe holes are good.
