Greenway Travel Survey

The Grand Western Greenway project is forging ahead in negotiations with landowners and Somerset Council. We are planning for the next sizeable step of commissioning the overall feasibility study which, of course, needs us to persuade funding bodies that there is strong public support for the provision of a traffic free route for active walkers, wheelers and cyclists between Wellington and Taunton to use on a daily basis.

One of the ways we can demonstrate that support is to ask you to complete a short survey about how you would travel on it, and how it may provide an alternative to solo car travel along the A38. According to the council’s own figures, this is the busiest commuter route by far, and is almost 60% busier than the next busiest route between Bridgwater and Taunton. You can access the survey using this QR code or here.

There is more information about travel generally on our Transport page.
