In November 2024, fruit bush cuttings were taken from the different TTW sites. As a result we now have a supply of 56 new fruit bushes to plant in Fox’s Field. These include, gooseberries, black currents, red currents, white currents and jostaberries. Over the lifetime of these shrubs they should provide many kilos of nutritious free food for the people of Wellington. It has been achieved without having to purchase new plants and has saved the carbon footprint involved in buying new.
