Fox’s Field Bioblitz

Following the fun and success of the Fox’s Field Bioblitz last year, we are holding another one on Saturday and Sunday 13 and 14 June. There will be different activities, including a butterfly walk; river dipping; plant recording; a bat walk; and a dawn chorus walk. The findings will be added to the iNaturalist app. We will start at 2pm on Saturday. You can find a full timetable of events on the calendar – Saturday and Sunday. Throughout we will be joined by a number of different experts, ecologists and keen amateurs. They will guide us on where to look for the creatures we share our world with, and share their knowledge and interesting facts about wildlife.

This is a fun event and suitable for all ages, so do come along and join us. You don’t need to be there all at the time, you may choose to come for specific events. This is a great time to help us connect with nature and appreciate the wonderful wildlife that is all around us even if its not always visible. This will be the fourth year we have carried out a Bioblitz on Fox’s Field. The results from the previous years are found on the Fox’s Field page. Last year 271 species were recorded. Maybe we will find even more this year.
