Everyone is welcome to join us for the Fox’s Field Community Picnic from 12pm to 4pm on Saturday 1 August 2026. There will be children’s activities plus food and drink to sample throughout, and it’s all free. Held in a marquee – let’s hope for good weather, but do check on here if there are gales and heavy rain.

Here’s a guide to the timings:
12.15-1.00pm Tour of the Forest Garden including how to make a herbal bouquet.
1.00-1.45pm The Ukes of Wellington
1.45-2.15pm Short talk on how to make cocktails and mocktails, herbal teas, jams, jellies and ice cream from the harvest.
2.15-3.00pm The Ukes of Wellington
3.00-3.45pm Tour of the Forest Garden including how to make a herbal bouquet.

Please walk or cycle but if you have to drive you can park in the car park behind “One Stop”. The nearest postcode to the Tonedale entrance side is TA21 0DH.
