Hedge Group meeting @ 73 Springfield Road

Do you love hedges, perhaps for their wildlife value, the wildflowers along them in the spring, or the historic framework they give to our countryside?

Or perhaps you are a practical person, love working outside with your hands and looking for a career somehow in the countryside.

What can we do towards seeing more healthy hedges in our countryside when we don’t own the land? We have some initial ideas here New TTW Hedge Group – Transition Town Wellington.

Whether we have the capacity to launch another sub-group in TTW totally depends on whether we have new people join. If it’s left to the same people who come to our other groups, I’m afraid we simply do not have the capacity to start a new group. It will depend on you, or someone who you may tell who’s interested, to come along. There will be roles for strong fit people, but also admin roles and lighter tasks such as surveying for those less fit.
