Scything @ Longacre

Today we hope to finish scything the meadow. We roll last week’s dry grass around to disperse seed before using it to mulch the trees, then scythe some more. As it’s a good day according to the biodynamic calendar to sow perennials we may sow wildflower seed, depending on the weather. Everyone is welcome whether you’ve scythed before or if you’re totally new to it: full instructions will be given and tools provided.

Do wear suitable shoes. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. No need to book unless you have any special requirements or are part of a large group, in which case please email community.ttw@gmail.com at least 24 hours before the session. Please try to walk or cycle, and if you have to drive, please park a bit further away to avoid complaints from nearby residents.
