Construction work on the access road to the new train station started in March. The expectation is that this road will be completed by September. The road is being funded by Bloor Homes, who are building new houses behind Lidl. The new £20m station is expected to open in 2028. It’s exciting that the provision of a station for Wellington is getting closer. This, together with land being made available for the Grand Western Greenway is helping to provide more sustainable transport options for our town and the locality.
